It has many benefits as outlined on this site in various places... water and sweat-proof, long-lasting, inexpensive in the long run, works on all skin types, has a natural sunscreen... etc. The list goes on. Regular traditional makeups are usually in liquid, stick, pressed or other formats... they normally contain many unhealthy ingredients that can irritate your skin or clog your pores. They often slide and slip during the day. Color matching can be difficult. The beauty of mineral makeup is it tends to blend with your skin tone, so you can more easily find a shade that matches you.
