Mineral Makeup Powder Brush
Blush Brushes, Bronzer Brushes, Large Powder Brushes, Foundation Brushes, etc... They can be flat top, round top or angled. They are simply large, fluffy brushes that are normally used to apply mineral makeup that should go on SHEER (not much coverage). This includes: mineral makeup blush, mineral makeup bronzer, mineral makeup finishing powder, mineral makeup foundation primer, etc. If you desire only a sheer coverage for the mineral foundation powder, then you can get away with using one of these types of loose, fluffy brushes for that. However, most people desire full coverage with the mineral foundation makeup, so I don't recommend these brushes for that. I suggest you try a kabuki brush instead. The exception to this rule is the flat top brush. TO USE: Blush: Pick up a tiny amount of mineral makeup blush, and swirl the bristles around in the jar lid. Tap the handle of the brush a couple times on the side of the lid to settle the powder into the bristles. Make sure the bristles are pointing upward when you do this, so the powder settles "down" into the bristles. The reason you must swirl and tap is so that you don't end up with a clump of powder on the brush, and apply a thick blob of powder on one area of your face. You want to look SMOOTH and natural, not lumpy and splotchy! Then simply tap, swirl or buff the powders onto your cheek area. I like to start at the temples and drag the brush down toward the apples of my cheeks, stopping when the brush is about 1.5 inches from my nose. But the specific method doesn't really matter. Just do whatever works for you. Bronzer: Follow the same Swirl-Tap-Buff method as described above, except apply to areas where the sun would naturally hit: forehead, nose, cheeks, chin and collar bone. TIP: Dust a little bronzer under your jaw to help give a more lean look (who wants a double chin anyways?). Finishing Powder: Swirl-Tap-Buff all over face and neck area. Foundation: To use a flat top brush for applying mineral foundation makeup, just follow the same directions as given on the kabuki brush page.
