Go with brown and cream for a classic look that suits everybody, or be inventive and choose other gorgeous shades like pink, peach, champagne, soft green, grays, plums, blues or any other natural-looking color.

Be creative, BUT...

In general, you just want to remember to keep things subtle, soft, well-blended and natural looking. Apply colors that YOU feel comfortable with and look great in, not necessarily what is "trendy" at the moment.

Basic application:

1. Prime the entire eye area with foundation or light colored eye shadow.

2. Apply lighter color to brow bone and/or eye lid.

Keep in mind that lighter colors will stand out, while darker colors will recede.

4. Blend, blend, blend. Make sure all the edges are smooth and subtle...You don't want any harsh lines. You don't want to be able to see where one color ends and another begins... you just want it all to flow.

5. Apply soft eyeliner in black, gray or brown to upper lid and outer part of the lower lid. Apply black or brown mascara.
