Is it too late?

I am a 50 years old plump woman. I have never used any makeup all my life. The only thing that i have ever used is lipstick.And that too in pale shades or brown shades. I always wanted to use make up, but did not know how to go about it. As I wanted to get a natural look, but whenever I tried, I ended up looking loud. So I stopped it all together. And I was too shy to ask anyone. Is it too late now to use make up? Will I look funny using make up? What kind of makeup should I use? I am Fair from an Asian out look. I have big beautiful eyes, sharp nose and not very thin lips. My face is round. But age shows on my face.I have read about mineral makeup. But I am not sure what will look nice on me . And I am terribly scared of experimenting.I would like to join some school where they teach art of makeup. Can you help me?
