I need help with a foundation problem -I think?-

by Anonymous

I have a square-ish shape head and I'm trying to find ways to do my makeup so that it looks more round, I have three main problems.

First, I have very sensitive skin...mostly anything sets it off so I'm trying to find some way of putting foundation over the top without it looking bad.

Second is that I have a slightly wide nose and I have a deep curve on each side of my nostrils and it looks so bad because it casts deep shadows and shows up in any photos I have taken...I don't know any way of making it less visible.

Third, I have very thin eyes that look small and I don't have much of an eyelid. Lately the only style of eye makeup I find that suits me is just plain eyeliner and to be honest it doesn't look that good anymore. It was okay when I was a teen but now I find it doesn't look good. I have dark brown hair and very pale skin so it makes me look unapproachable.
To be fair I'm not new to makeup and I can do other people's makeup just fine, I just can't do my own! Please help, many thanks!

Hi, Anonymous!

1. I recommend mineral makeup for your foundation. It gives the most natural look, while still covering all your flaws. It is also great for sensitive skin, as it will not aggravate it further.

2. To make wide nostrils less visible, I recommend using a contouring shadow to diminish any prominent or large areas that you want to recede and a highlighting powder to brighten dark shadows.

3. To make small or narrow eyes appear larger, try using a light colored eye shadow makeup powder (I recommend mineral makeup) on the eye lids, brow bone, and inner and outer corners of the eyes. Sometimes dark, heavy eyeliner can make the eyes look even smaller, actually, so try whitelining your eyes (lining with a white color) or just lining the top lid and not the bottom.
