I have scars from an accident, what is the best way to cover them up so that they look natural?
by Mary Austen
Several years ago I was in a car accident, and now have scars on my face. They are not nearly as noticeable as they were a year ago, and I credit this to the use of a scar product with silicone, but they are still the only things that I see when I look in the mirror. They are slightly indented as well. I have tried the traditional make up meant to cover scars, but they look goopy and pasty, like I should be on stage, yards and yards away from people, rather than inches. I don’t want to feel like I am wearing a mask, but sometimes I think that is the only way I can get them covered sufficiently. I also have combination skin that is sensitive, although not prone to acne. I also wear sunscreen every day in order to ensure that the scars will not get burned and become even more noticeable.
