How do I cover brown splotches on my face?
I always had a beautiful complexion and received many compliments on it. In fact, I wore little make-up for most of my life except for lip color and eye make-up occasionally. As I aged and had a hysterectomy and subsequently entered menopause, my beautiful skin disappeared. The texture changed and I started noticing small splotches. At first, a few appeared on one side of my face, then more showed up on the other side also. They are a little rough in nature, that is, the skin is not totally smooth. I've never had oily or dry skin. I would say this feels dry.
I can cover it with a heavy concealer that is formulated for concealing major flaws ( like birthmarks, etc) but my face looks like a mask and not natural.
I live in a casual area where heavy make-up is not the norm. In South Florida, people rarely dress up for everyday activities. Even in church, it is not unusual to see some people even wearing shorts or sundresses on their way to a picnic or sporting event afterward. Heavy make-up just does not fit in. It does not look healthy and sun-kissed like most of the people I see. I know I can't get my 20 year old skin back but I don't want to look so much older than I am either. So, what do I do?
