Mineral Makeup EyeLiner Brush
There are quite a few different types of these brushes on the market today. The basic ones include: Angled: Shown in the picture above, an angled brush is my personal pick for applying mineral makeup eyeliner. It is flat, and the bristles are cut at an angle, giving you excellent control over application. This brush will give a medium-thickness line. Thick and Pointy: Shown in the second picture above, these brushes look like a very small eye shadow brush. They are great for applying a thicker line. They give a more smokey eye makeup look. Thin and Pointy: These are a very common brush. They are a very thin point of bristles. They give a clean, thin line. Make sure when buying this type of brush that you get a quality brush. Cheap brushes have bristles that will only splay out and give a very unclean line. So choose the type depending on the look you prefer. TO APPLY: DRY METHOD: Just dip your brush into the loose powder, then dab in the lid a few times. Tap off any excess by gently tapping the handle onto the jar lid. Then sweep across upper and/or lower eyelid, directly next to the eye. I like to start at the outer edge of the eye and sweep inwards. This gives the most natural look. Apply several times for a heavier look if you like. For a more intense look, try the wet method. WET METHOD: This method works particularly well with shimmery metallic mineral eye shadows. This will create an almost foil-like effect. However, you can use this method with any mineral powder you like. Dip your brush into water, then into the powders. Dab in the jar lid until a paste forms. Sweep the brush around in the lid until only a small amount remains on the brush, with no clumps. Then apply as usual. This is going to give a darker, cleaner, more intense line than the dry method. Use this method when you want to look more made-up. Try this when going out on the town, for a special date, etc. You can also use your brush to apply loose mineral powder to your eyebrows. This will create a very subtle, natural eyebrow.
