Mineral Makeup Eye Shadow Brush
Normally in mineral makeup brushes, I prefer synthetic. Natural brushes have a tendency to shed and can get itchy and scratchy. For this type of brush, however, I usually will go with natural. Not to say synthetic won't work, just that it is harder to find a good synthetic shadow brush that is fluffy enough to achieve a blended look. The natural bristles in this brush type will create a very blended, smooth look. There are a FEW synthetic ones out there that will work, but most of them are very stiff and thin, thus making it quite difficult to create a blended look. You'll end up looking streaky, unless you find the perfect synthetic brush. SO... I recommend natural bristles for the most part,
unless you can find a soft, fluffy synthetic one. In such case, get the synthetic.
They don't shed like natural bristles. There are many shapes and sizes of this brush type. Normally they are just small, fluffy bristles, either in a flat or a rounded shape. They can come in an angled shape, or a flat top or an angled flat top, etc. To use, simply dip your brush into your mineral makeup, and pick up some powder. Dab into the jar lid and tap to remove any excess powder. Then sweep onto desired area. It is better to apply a small amount first, then build up and blend, blend, blend to perfection.
If you like, apply some mineral foundation makeup first to your entire eyelid area.
This will "prime" that area. Again, remember to blend a LOT to ensure an even look. Apply a little more for night, and less for day.
