THE BEGINNINGS:

Starting when I was about 9 years old, my face began breaking out. I tried every brand of skin care and acne treatment known to man (antibiotics, pills, creams, etc) and nothing worked.

The few products that helped SLIGHTLY, made my face red, itchy and flaky. Ug. I hated it.

THE REVELATION:

After spending many years suffering with horrible acne and finding no solutions, I ran across mineral makeup and natural skin care.

The mineral makeup covered my acne. WOO HOO!!! And it didn't make it any worse! WOO HOO!! AND!! Shocker: My skin began to clear up. BIG FAT JUICY WOO HOO!!

I was hooked.

THE SEARCH:

I began trying various makeup brands, including the main one you might have seen on TV. They worked OKAY for me, but I really needed better coverage and not so much shine. So, being the crafty person that I am, I decided to make my own!

NEW VENTURE:

I gathered all the ingredients and through loads of trial and error, created several mineral makeup foundation colors. I created them to have excellent coverage and a satin texture (not super shiny, but not dry and cakey, either). I loved them for my skin type!! YAY!

Even though I was taking 20 hours at college (WHOA! A LOT!) during the summer months, plus driving a total of three hours every day to get to college, I began selling mineral makeup online. I also managed to maintain my life-long 4.0. Okay! Sorry! I had to brag a little. It was HARRDDD!!!

Anyways.

I began selling on eBay, then slowly, but surely developed a website: Mineral Basics I then had it professionally redone and as time went on, added the subdomain for wholesale clients: Wholesale Mineral Basics.

I still sell my mineral makeup brand there today.

I get many emails from customers saying they love my brand. They appreciate the many foundation colors available for ALL skin tones, including various ethnic shades, the beautiful eye colors, natural skin creams, etc.

People of all ages enjoy the makeup, from teeny boppers to ladies in their eighties!

THIS SITE:

So why did I create this new site, you ask? Well, I wanted to create a site based purely on mineral makeup information. I get asked SO many makeup and skin care questions daily, that I just don't have the time to answer them all. So, I started this site, using an excellent site building tool that even DUMMIES can figure out, called : SITE BUILD IT !

This program allowed me to create a site from bare bones and turn it into what you see today.

I encourage you to give it a try if you've ever wanted to create a website, but didn't know where to start.

THE ENDING:

Well, the story never really ends. I am happy to report that my skin stays clear now. I actually get many compliments on how pretty my complexion is. I'm sure I'll be wearing mineral makeup till the cows come home or the fat lady sings. Or something. Ha ha! :)
